REUNIONS AND CELEBRATIONS PLANNED FOR 2012
6– 7 July: Class of 1970: 60th Birthday Celebration Car Show on Friday and probably a BBQ at Steckel Park on Saturday. “Let's Celebrate Our New Coming of Age This Year” Friday, July 6: Meet n' Greet at Garman's Pub for Cruise Night. Time: 5pm till ?? Saturday, July 7: Catered BBQ by Laird's & Live Band at Steckle Park's Area 1 (where we were for the 40th) B.Y.O.B. Time: 11:30a till 7pm Cost: Friday night: You buy your own drinks and food. Saturday BBQ: $20 per person (does not include Steckel Park's $4 parking fee)
3– 5 Aug: Class of 1967, 45th Reunion: Register by June 15th and get a $10 Discount. Download a Reunion Registration Form at link below. Fri Aug 3 Cruise Night; Stroll Classic Cars Downtown SP on Main Street; Meet at Mupu Grill for drinks and appetizers (No-host Bar). Sat, Aug 4 Dinner/Dance at Glen Tavern, Casual Attire with school colors 5:00 - 6:30 pm, Check in and Social Time; 6:45 pm; Buffet Dinner on the lawn followed by Raffle and Dancing until Midnight. Sun, Aug 5: Steckel Park; 11:00 am- 4:00 pm for BBQ and relaxation. Bring a dish to share and BYOB. BBQ coals, meat, sodas, water & utensils will be provided. 10 Aug: Class of 1972: 40th Reunion from 4:30-11:00 pm at The Pierpont Inn & Spa, 550 Sanjon Rd, Ventura CA 93001 Buffet style dinner, drinks, music, dancing, a raffle for some awesome prizes; and lots of catching-up. 18 Aug: Class of 1968. UPDATE:   I’ve been informed by Jeri Conklin that this unofficial 44th get- together has been canceled.  However, the class of ’68 will be holding their 45th Reunion in 2013.

25 Aug: Class of 1982. 30 Year Reunion. Please save the date of Saturday, August 25, 2012. The location is 6:00 p.m. at the beautiful historical Glen Tavern Inn, 134 N. Mill Street, Santa Paula Questions?  6– 9 Sept: ‘60 Becomes 70 Birthday Party. This celebration, to be held  in Santa Paula, is for the Class of 1960 and their guests only.   Advanced Reservations are required.   Thurs  6 Sep:  Welcome Home Party ~ an evening soiree with hors d’ oeuvre  and no-host bar;   Fri, 7 Sep:  Various activities throughout the day ~ Tour the High School,  Guided tours Historical Murals ~ Art Museum,  Oil Museum,  Aviation Museum, and  Farm Implement Museum at The Mill ~ and at 5:30 p.m.  Cruise Night with sandwiches, beer and wine.   Sat, 8 Sep:   Free day to visit family and friends with evening  Birthday Party BBQ.  Sun, 9 Sep:  Farewell  Breakfast /Brunch.    Per phoncon from Alice Fultz  Eaton on 11Mar12 she echoed  Marilyn Hartman Davis’ statement that this celebration will not be financed by funds from the official Class of ’60 reunion fund/committee.  For further details and tickets, contact Marilyn Hartman Davis at 925-570-9856 HeyitsMD@aol.com   or Alice Fultz-Eaton at 949-489-7920.   

29 Sept: SPUHS AA Reunion Banquet Dinner Sat, Sept 29th at Courtyard Marriott in Oxnard, times will probably be the same as last year. More details to follow.

29 Sept: Class of 1952, 60th Reunion to be held in conjunction with the SPUHS-AA Banquet.

 5– 7 Oct: Class of 1962: 50th Reunion Fri – Sun Oct 5 – 7 2012; location TBD.

Reminder:   Reunion info can be published for free with at least two newspapers: 
 Ventura County Star publishes reunion info monthly.  Did check the 24Mar12 listing and nothing for SPUHS. Submit info as follows:  “Area schools and military organizations may submit material for publication. It will be published monthly, space permitting. Material should include the name of the high school or military unit, the class holding the reunion, date of the event, location, cost and a local contact's phone number.
